Next, let’s button the poor subwoofer back up and get on with the review by taking a look at the satellite speakers. Once your speaker is connected to your device, the LED on the top front of the right satellite will turn solid blue. SCS is a chartered benefit corporation, reflecting its commitment to socially and environmentally responsible business practices.

After opening it up you can see both left and right speakers on either side wrapped in a soft foam material. Game developers work with our LIGHTSYNC SDK to program the color and animation effects for each game. Now that we’ve got the Logitech G560 installed and ready to roll, let’s hit this thing with different types of audio and see how it sounds. I love the ability to hook the speakers to my PC, pwn some noobs and then sit back and play some music via the Bluetooth connection with my phone using Spotify or Pandora (or both at the same time! There's no "input switch" on the speakers, so any sources connected simply play over each other when sending audio simultaneously.I can't say whether it will give you a competitive edge, but it will definitely make your gameplay feel that much more immediate and realistic. But hey, a smattering of annoyances haven’t stopped me from keeping them on my desk for the last six months, so Logitech clearly did something right. The integrated lighting is the primary thing that distinguishes the G560 from the competition, and it's impressive — for the most part.

Overall Screen Sampler works quite well, however I did notice that there is a slight maybe 500ms delay between the monitor’s image changing and the speakers updating the color profile. They really do sound superb, have a lovely aesthetic without the RGB lighting and are pleasingly eye-catching with the lights on. Built-in LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting blasts game driven lighting colors and effects activated by the audio in many popular games. The G560 isn’t bad, but it doesn’t surpass these other (often cheaper) options, at least to my ears.A Quick Note: you might have noticed that this review doesn’t contain photos taken by myself as per normal, rather it’s full of Logitech’s very own images. Those who just need functional speakers probably won’t want to spend this much, while audiophiles will be let down by the G560 and opt for something better. If you have other compatible Logitech devices, such as the G513 gaming keyboard, you can also configure how they will interact with your G560 speakers. The Logitech G560 arrived at our GND-Tech HQ testing facility in a perfect bill of health, unscathed by our local mail courier. Overall, I was unhappy with the initial volume issues, but once those were resolved, I came to seriously enjoy the G560.

Once it's installed, the G560 speakers will appear (along with any other compatible Logitech products you may have) in the LGS interface. watts peak (120 watts RMS) power feeds an explosive, down-firing subwoofer and two satellite speakers with wide-angle drivers for clear, pure sound. With quick setup and software that remembers your settings, you can get immersed in your sound—and the game. These Logitech G560 Speakers are probably one of the best purchases I've made in a very long time, the sound quality is fantastic once you download the software to your Pc you can even get real-time lighting effect in your games and music. I’ve been able to spend some time with a G650 review unit for the last couple of weeks, and despite some small complaints, this has turned out to be a really solid choice for desktop gaming audio.

The volume curve is considerably less savage and likely to destroy your precious eardrums, and the speakers are no longer terrifyingly loud at even the lowest settings. The lights are pretty and innocuous, but they can also be distracting, due to some issues with the software and some aggressive lighting defaults. With all the components hooked together, and the speakers connected to the PC, we applied power and were presented with instant RGB lighting taking the shade of Logitech Blue! While these port standards exist, Logitech has recycled them to use for both left and right speakers (DB9 = Left, VGA = Right). Also the back rgb lights could have and should have been much bigger/wider, instead of a medium circle.

This seems to be an issue with the software and Logitech have said they’re working on sorting it, but the speakers have been out for a few months now and no fix seems to be coming.
