About this deal

Adiviné el quién desde que apareció en escena, pero fue por puro pálpito (ya es mucha negra la que llevo a la espalda), y no porque fuera previsible. I didn’t figure out who the killer was, although you’re likely cleverer than I am and might well do so early on.

It’s a very strange and rag-tag team that he has around him to investigate the case, a dying psychologist, a taxi driver turned drug dealer, and a cop currently on suspension on suspicion of skimming drugs himself, but somehow, against all of the odds, they really do work well together. By Act II, I was sort of ticked that it took a particular sharp turn, then by Act III, I was over it completely.I guess it’s easier to create a universe inside your head if that universe is more attractive than the universe you are sitting in. Jo Nesbø non sbaglia un colpo e Harry Hole è sempre il migliore, nonostante sia precipitato in una spirale autodistruttiva da cui non vuole uscire. So, Harry is working against the clock, not only to save his friend’s life (and his own) but also to prevent further people from being murdered by the killer at large.

A deeply troubled, damaged, narcissistic and thoroughly irredeemable individual, even though we get to understand Prim, there’s no way you’ll feel sympathy for this one. He finds a bar close to the home of Frank Zappa and is about to successfully complete his plan when something happens. I also hope - for the general safety of the planet - that (rather like Grisham's contempt for actual law) Nesbo's biological data is invented for the sake of a good story rather than real! Liz Foley, publishing director, and Katie Ellis-Brown, deputy publishing director for crime, thriller and crossover fiction, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to the novel from Niclas Salomonsson at the Salomonsson Agency.Needless to say, I can appreciate the thought that Nesbø put into the construction of this story, and I do feel like it is a bit of a clever take on some classic themes. With this massive bill, Harry finds himself trying to see how he can help, if only to keep them alive. Nesbø pulls the rug out from under his readers not once but twice, and it completely changes my feelings about everything I just read. The publisher wrote: "Struck off the force and down and out in Los Angeles, Killing Moon will see Harry Hole drawn back to the city that haunts him to hunt down a killer unlike any other. The killer in this book uses methods so horrible and heinous that it’s one of the few crime novels I’ve read that has literally turned my stomach.

For me, the first most closely resembled what I thought I had signed up for and although I thought Richard was a jerk, some of the plot developments were interesting. It takes all of Hole’s ingenuity to uncover what must be the most unusual method of murder in contemporary crime fiction. A very few remain, but I don't find them to interesting, and don't make the story as gripping as previous one's did. I have really missed this series - it has been four years since I read the previous Harry Hole book - so delighted to see the series continuing (and, from the ending, likely to carry on further). The solution to the crimes is both shocking and complex, involving parasites and cannibalism and cocaine dealing.

Two women are missing, their only connection being they attended the same party, hosted by a notorious real-estate magnate. Ya no es policía, digamos que es una suerte de investigador privado con muchos amigos en la policía que husmea e investiga más o menos a su aire para descubir a un nuevo asesino en serie.
