To make matters worse, the venomous Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman) decides to join forces with Freeze, so making an almost undefeatable double-whammy of a team. Victor Fries turns to a life of crime after a hideous accident makes him unable to tolerate even moderate temperatures, while Dr.

However, I also think these movies are also great in their own way and they may not be as necessarily as dark as Nolan's films, they convey the comic book feeling better. Reporter Alexander Knox (Robert Wuhl) teams with photographer Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) in an attempt to discover Batman's true identity - an investigation which leads them to the door of mysterious millionaire Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton).

The films started with their first release in 1989 with Tim Burton's Batman, starring Michael Keaton as the title character. Together they plot to discover Batman's (Val Kilmer) identity, using a device which can probe the human mind. I won't claim that all 4 films are classics seems to me that the level of Tim Burton involvment over the 4 movies is uncannily mirrored in the quality of the movies. Finally, in 'Batman and Robin' (1997) Batman (George Clooney) and Robin (O'Donnell) have to stop the vengeful Mr Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from taking over Gotham City. The picture and sound quality of all four films is superb and a vast improvement on their DVD counterparts. But what really makes this collection shine is the impressive array of extras, with each disc boasting documentaries, featurettes, profiles, trailers and music videos. Batman Forever has two classic super-vilains The Riddler (Jim Carrey) and two-face Harvery (Tommy Lee Jones) plus Uma Thurman as earth-woman.
