After much searching I did get some good advice from a lady at Holland and Barrett who I always find really helpful. She suggested their Dr Organic range and the Tea Tree and Aloe vera products which makes sense to me as I already use both of these natural products on my skin anyway. She also recommended the Dr Organic shampoo with olive oil in it but where do you start and how do you know which is going to work for you? I guess it’s just trial and error and more error than success if my experience is anything to go by. Type II reactions result when antibodies react with antigens that are found on certain “target” cells. The antigens may be natural components of healthy cells, or they may be extrinsic components induced by drugs or infectious microbes. The resultant antigen-antibody complex activates the complement system, a series of potent enzymes that destroy the target cell.

An allergen is a type of antigen that produces an abnormally vigorous immune response in which the immune system fights off a perceived threat that would otherwise be harmless to the body. Alternative tools are available to identify seasonal allergies, such as laboratory tests, imaging tests, and nasal endoscopy. In the laboratory tests, the doctor will take a nasal smear and it will be examined microscopically for factors that may indicate a cause: increased numbers of eosinophils (white blood cells), which indicates an allergic condition. If there is a high count of eosinophils, an allergic condition might be present. desensitisation (immunotherapy) for severe allergic reactions – this involves carefully exposing you to the thing you're allergic to over time, so your body gradually gets used to it and does not react so badly (this should only be done by a medical professional) Systemic anaphylactic response to bee venom in an individual with type I hypersensitivity. In most people a bee sting is nothing more than an unpleasant, painful experience that is soon forgotten. However, for a minority of individuals who have an allergic predisposition to bee venom, the insect's sting can cause a dangerous, potentially fatal reaction known as systemic anaphylaxis. (Top left) A bee sting releases venom, which enters the bloodstream of an individual sensitized to it—that is, someone whose immune system has been triggered by previous experience to recognize venom as a threat to the body. Venom, distributed through the body by the bloodstream, interacts with basophils in the blood and (bottom left) mast cells in tissues. Previous exposure has “primed,” or sensitized, the individual by stimulating these cells to generate immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies, which attach to the surfaces of the mast cells and basophils. When the venom interacts with the IgE antibodies, it stimulates the mast cells and basophils to release biologically active chemicals. Within seconds or minutes the chemicals give rise to manifestations of systemic anaphylaxis, which are listed on the right side of the figure. What are Allergenics?

This is what they say, “Finding your natural hair oils are over producing? Finding yourself with an itchy or irritated scalp? Look no further as Green People have created a marvellous shampoo that will cleanse, stimulate and control your hairs bad days! Not only will the shampoo leave your hair feeling fresh, it helps to relieve symptoms of itchy scalp and help to reduce the appearance of dandruff. Blended with Organic Rosemary and Pineapple, this gorgeously scented shampoo will last longer than mainstream products as a little goes along way!” Allergen immunotherapy treatment involves administering doses of allergens to accustom the body to induce specific long-term tolerance. [45] Allergy immunotherapy can be administered orally (as sublingual tablets or sublingual drops), or by injections under the skin (subcutaneous). [ citation needed] Immunotherapy contains a small amount of the substance that triggers the allergic reactions. [46] See also [ edit ] Levetin, E. (April 1989). "Basidiospore identification". Injectable allergen extracts are used for both diagnosis and treatment and are sterile liquids that are manufactured from natural substances (such as molds, pollens, insects, insect venoms, and animal hair) known to elicit allergic reactions in susceptible individuals. Injectable allergen extracts for food allergies are used only for diagnostic purposes. Among the injectable allergen extracts, some are standardized; for these products there is an established method to determine the potency (or strength) of the product on a lot-by-lot basis. For the other injectable allergen extracts there is no measure of potency, and these are called "non-standardized."
