Description

the shade is fairly common in the “intro” paint sets; so if you see my desk I’m still using the 12ml pot I got from them This is a “A sprue” from an “ABB sprue” that was in the original Age of Sigmar boxed set and is now part of the Thunderstrike Brotherhood. The (cereal box grade) cardboard gave the bases some “lumpiness” which was good under the texture paint, so, I put it all over.

The first thing I noticed upon opening this box, is the large amount of spindly pieces and fragile looking weapons. As is the way with most nighthaunt models, fragile is the name of the game; so be careful when removing the sprues from the box. Balefire Blade –Add 1 to the damage characteristic of a bearer’s melee weapon. Solid all around weapon choice. B Slightly changes the wording of Deathless Spirits to cover every model within 12″ of a Hero rather than units wholly within. Mostly useless in a practical sense, both in terms of the ability and actually fielding this in a game like most super battalions. ShroudguardHey Haunters, I'm a rather new Nighthaunt player who brewed up a new 2000 point list and I would like to hear what the community thinks of it. I play in a small friend group of Khorne, Nurgle, and Orks. It’s also nice to see a large amount of customisation options available for this unit. There are a good few of each weapon on the sprues, which means you can have a nice variety of each throughout your troops. The Guardian of Souls is a wizard for Nighthaunt, drawing more Nighthaunt units into combat with the living. Much better choices than your weapons, 2 go-tos for most tournament lists are here the Pendant of the Fell Wind and Midnight Tome. Lightshard of the Harvest Moon –Pop this once per game. Once you do every unit within 12″ can reroll failed hits. Crazy good with the right timing, but you need to manage the aura around the Guardian of Souls. B+

Reroll all failed hit rolls for Chainrasps within 15″ of spirit torment or Chainghasts. This would be awesome if Spirit Torments and Chainghasts were just a bit better, as it stands the tax is just too high. Chainguard Mannfred was running wild after a slow start, giving the army a much needed threat that helped score bonus Monster points, give my opponent a headache with his teleport and go for the throat when needed with his ludicrously fast movement. Personally, I think the sight of hordes of chainrasp models look amazing on the battlefield. Especially when they’re swarming an unsuspecting enemy or charging through tight streets between buildings. Much more diversity in artefacts here, 3 tables with 6 weapons, 6 relics and 3 lanterns which are exclusively used by Guardian of Souls. Weapons of the Damned This is a “B sprue” from an “ABB sprue” that was in the original Age of Sigmar boxed set and is now part of the Thunderstrike Brotherhood.

Reinforcements for the Starter Set

We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby. Spirit Hosts quietly impressed, as when combined with ROTSH they were able to take up space and be a difficult unit to shift. They’ve traditionally underperformed for me in the past but they made their case for their ongoing inclusion in future lists. Cloak of the Waxing Moon –Makes the bearers feel no pain a 5+ instead of a 6+. Decent though you get better artefacts. B
