Since that first sim racing video, I’ve had a blast diving deeper into the virtual racing world, though to really be competitive I’d have to dedicate a lot more time. I play more casually so I’ve been enjoying ACC campaigns, Forza Horizon 5, and drifting in Assetto Corsa. Again, another big benefit here is that is ES wheel can easily be modded to a formula wheel or a 12-inch round wheel. Rather than buying an entirely new wheel, this is a more affordable way to play different race styles. Moza R5 Bundle: Pedals Moza is still new to the scene compared to the big names like Logitech and Thrustmaster, but I’m glad they’re here. It’s great to have budget options with the ability to easily upgrade the system based on what your needs are. As well as configuring your set-up via software, there is a full range of accessories to physically adjust your hardware too. Moza also sells a handbrake and seven-speed plus reverse shifter. Considering the young age of Moza, it really makes you realize how slow Logitech has been in this space. Thrustmaster has always been a great big-name option with lots of choices, but despite Logitech being such a big player it’s been really slow to develop and release more sim-racing products.

All three pedals utilize hall effect sensors. Input is position based rather than force or pressure based which is to be expected for the price. The brake pedal has a completely linear and non-progressive feel. This results in little sensation of how much pressure is being applied. The MOZA R5 makes for a very interesting comparison to the Fanatec CSL DD and GT DD Pro bundles. As with other MOZA wheel bases, the MOZA R5 does not have officially licensed console support. The GT DD Pro remains the cheapest DD wheel base for PlayStation users. Another thing to note is that many of those other wheel and pedal bundles have specific models that will work with consoles, and the Moza Racing gear will only work on PC.
