It gives them some respite from the different issues each one of them are dealing with at home, and their adventures made me laugh out loud several times (to the amusement of people around me! The Cruise by Caroline James - The Grey Brunette BOOK REVIEW: The Cruise by Caroline James - The Grey Brunette

And all the book’s humour is just perfectly judged – slapstick at times, but I thought it was dialled down just a little from some of the author’s other books and that hit just the right note for me. This information might be about you, your preferences or your device and is mostly used to make the site work as you expect it to. The minor characters are also very well written, each bringing their own energy and flavour to the story. I love his wide variety of tops with cruise slogans on and he made me laugh out loud several times with his cheeky personality. This is my second book by Caroline that I’ve read ( I read The Spa Break for a tour last year) and have thoroughly enjoyed both.

The Cruise: The brand new feel good, funny read guaranteed to

Some of their new friends were really memorable and I got so caught up in the story that I shed a couple of tears towards the end. This time I rushed through this brilliant story in just over a day and I was on a cruise with 3 ladies in their 60s and I had a brilliant time! Second chances and a lot of fun aren’t just for the young – and this whole book really captured that feeling.Although I have never been on a cruise, the author depicted life on board so well that I could easily imagine myself there. He is one of those men who loves himself and loved to swindle and cheat the passengers however he could. I loved the fact that the three main characters (Anne, Kath and Jane) are independent single women all in different situations but all determined to have a good time on their cruise. Selwyn comes on the cruise against the wishes of his family and the church and scatters his wifes ashes in all the areas that she would have never gone herself. She has taken it upon herself to become the Captains carer and helps him to spend some time off the ship while spending a lot of time on ship with him.

The Cruise on Apple Books ‎The Cruise on Apple Books

Cruise ships are the perfect microcosms of society, and time aboard one is like living in a heightened reality for a week or two. The whole cruise experience is just wonderfully done – in fact, when I finished the book I spent the evening planning one of my own, with an eye on my seventieth birthday.Absolutely no plot, full of cliches, unbelievable or farcical (and not funny) scenes and very poor dialogues. Three women decide on a spur of the moment Christmas cruise for no reason other than why shouldn’t they! The Cruise - One More Chapter The Cruise - One More Chapter

This gorgeous manor, surrounded by fields of sunflowers, really caught my eye and will be the fictional setting for the story. I love his wide variety of tops with cru In The Cruise three single friends (one widowed, one almost divorced and the other resolutely single) decide to head to the Caribbean for Christmas. Caroline's hilarious novel, The Best Boomerville Hotel has been depicted as 'Britain's answer to the Best Marigold Hotel - A fabulous read! There’s also a dubious one, the comic Dastardly Dicky who is a bit of a charmer and certainly makes himself known.I just couldn't wait for it to end, and forced myself to read on, naively hoping for something better. I already know that age is no barrier to new experiences and living a little – and this book only reminded me how much fun a cruise could be.
